The Meaning Behind "ÉLAN"

Okay so I've changed the name of my blog for two reasons;
1.) I hope to have my own line called Miranda Castel (which was my old blog name) and I can't have my blog and my clothing line be the same name, I mean I can but I simply don't want to and besides, you can't have two domains with the same address but go to different places
2.) I wanted my blog to have its own name, just like every book has a title, I wanted my blog to have its OWN title.
ÉLAN is a french word that means having the feeling of eagerness or liveliness. I relate to this word 100 % because I'm always eager and excited (about fashion of course lol). Élan also means elegant and can be focused on someones distinct STYLE or flair, not only in their wardrobe, but their forte of music and art. Élan may look like a simple noun, but its actually just the opposite, and that is why I believe that its a perfect name for my blog. It describes not only me, but also my blog. How perfect? ;)

Florence + The Machine - Ceremonials

Florence + The Machine's sophomore album titled Ceremonials pushes amazing music to a whole new level. Its such a powerful album and the band has failed to disappoint me once again. I thought I loved this band when I listened to their first album called Lungs; but Ceremonials definitely took my love for them up a notch. I haven't finished the whole album yet, but so far Ceremonials is a brilliant, spiritual album unlike anything I've heard before. Ceremonials is focused on an ethereal style which fits Florence's passionate, inspired, spiritual, and excited vocals perfectly. Though Florence Welch's vocals is the centerpiece for the band, this album expresses that they are capable of much more than impressive vocals by including impeccable flow and lush instrumentals.

UH HUH HER'S NEW ALBUM!!!

I'm seriously freaking out!!! Uh Huh Her's new album is finally available to all of us! These very talented ladies are my favorite artists, which is a little different for me considering the fact I rarely have a favorite artist. Well anyway, I loved their first album titled "Common Reaction"; it was so sexy! Therefore I'm DYING to finish thier album called "Nocturnes" which was just recently realased. Although, I doubt it'll take long since these ladies are freaking AMAZING! I seriously love every song they make. If you havent heard of Uh Huh Her before, listen to three of my favorite songs below and tell me what you think ;-)
